Adobe Reader 9 Installation Comes With Many Unnecessary Extras
I have recently posted an article regarding the new Adobe Reader 9 and I’m sure Adobe reader users under version 9 would be very eager to try out what the new version has to offer.
Upon download, the installer would be around 33MB, but after being unpacked, the whole installation consumes a whooping 210MB!
Why would a software application that is used to read PDF files weigh that much you might ask. Simple. The installer contains within it a 19MB ebay Desktop program (luckily, you could opt out), plus other stuff that you might not be needing but still, you need to download it.
Such installation method is a total time waster (especially for Internet users on low bandwidth connections), plus, it wastes hardisk space. I think Foxit would be a better alternative this time.
