You are seeing the 999ms ping on all the tests because your ping is higher. Your true ping is higher than 999ms.

Pinging a site 50 miles away should be around 10ms but as your speed tests show the broadband connections provided by globelines are not good.
Even pinging globelines at www.globelines.com.ph gives me pings in the 300 - 500 ms range and this is more than 2 years after this article was written.
Globelines has had years to replace the equipment in order to provide a real broadband connection but have failed to do it. Pinging a node 50 miles away should be less than 10ms but globelines seems content to deliver sub standard dsl service and will continue to provide pretend broadband right up until some cable internet company puts them out of the internet business forever.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('14564','ktd','You are seeing the 999ms ping on all the tests because your ping is higher.
Hey, I am using Sony Ericsson K800i now. And I can surely say that it's a lot better than N73. It's better because it isn't difficult to use and you can install many application in it. Practically, it's a lot better if you'll buy it. About the keypad thing, it's not really hard to use, as time pass by, you'll get used to it..
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('14562','Clarie','Hey, I am using Sony Ericsson K800i now.

Hi, guys!

I want to make a gift to my boyfriend. Something special . I just want to say a few words about my boyfriend. He is my soulmate and i love him. He’s Welsh but without a Welsh accent. Just a northern twang. This is something which troubles him from time to time. He likes talking to himself.

He also likes dogs and knowing every lyric to every Beatles’ song ever. I decided, stupidly, to challenge him on that last point. We were sat at a studenty cafe with rainbow coloured chairs drinking mint tea one afternoon. I picked what I thought was a less-well-known Beatles song and got him to tell me the lyrics. Honey Pie (my favourite), Blackbird, Maxwell’s Silver Hammer – he knew them all, and not just the chorus.

He is excellent at getting himself into situations that other, more practical, people probably would be able to avoid. Map reading is definitely one of his least developed skills. Ask him where north is and he’ll probably say something like “ummm, which way is the wind coming from?” Other things he has been known to do include dropping his ipod into the bath (he was reaching forward for his watch, forgetting that his headphones were attached to something – and then hearing the ipod slip with a gentle splosh into the water) and window shopping – meaning taking a close look at ladies’ underwear and not realising the shop assistant was standing in the shop window until he looked up and saw her scornful face.

So, there are two gift options for me to choose from: Dual Docking Alarm Clock for iPod and Neuros OSD Media Recorder.
What do you recommend? Any advices will be more then welcome.

Regards, Sara Whook

I tried this. Didn't work. Just got a new IE7 window. :(

Why did MS decide to f*&^$ with something that worked?? If people don't want their bars showing, they could already hide them. I LIKED my commands (back, forward, refresh, stop) all together. I use the google toolbar. Now I'm stuck with an IE that has split my commands apart so I can't find them, stuck buttons for favourites where I don't need them, and given me a 'search' bar that I don't use but can't get rid of. Great going.

Oh, and vista downloaded IE8 yesterday. Yeah... that was gone within thirty seconds. IE7 and IE8 are just Microsofts attempts to do what Firefox has been doing for years... and still does better. :(
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('14554','Pointy','I tried this. Now I’m stuck with an IE that has split my commands apart so I can’t find them, stuck buttons for favourites where I don’t need them, and given me a ’search’ bar that I don’t use but can’t get rid of. Great going.

Oh, and vista downloaded IE8 yesterday. Yeah… that was gone within thirty seconds. IE7 and IE8 are just Microsofts attempts to do what Firefox has been doing for years… and still does better.

I LIKED my commands (back, forward, refresh, stop) all together. I use the google toolbar. Now I\'m stuck with an IE that has split my commands apart so I can\'t find them, stuck buttons for favourites where I don\'t need them, and given me a \'search\' bar that I don\'t use but can\'t get rid of.
Sometimes the globe person finder may not work if the person you are tracking has a very low signal or no signal at all. Same thing goes if his/her phone is turned off. Just so you won't end up loosing your load, try to do a miss call first, if it rings, then, there's a greater chance that you'll be able to track that person. Regarding MMS results for tracking, make sure that you can send/receive MMS normally. To do this, try sending an MMS to your own phone. Hope these few things help you guys. PS >> Sometimes, person finder is not 100% accurate.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('14552','damn_iverson','Sometimes the globe person finder may not work if the person you are tracking has a very low signal or no signal at all.
