WordPress 2.6.1 Now Available
Barely after a month since I have posted that WordPress 2.6 was available, WordPress 2.6.1 has just been recently released. This time, over 60 bugs were fixed (I’ve counted the bugs, and as of this writing, there were 62 different bugs across different WordPress versions that were fixed).
While upgrading to WordPress 2.6.1 is very easy due to the Automatic WordPress Update plugin that I am using, I am holding it off until I have verified that the plugins and the theme I am currently using would support it. I wouldn’t want problems such as this and this to be happening to me. I’d be better off writing good articles rather than focus on technical glitches.
So my advice to those who would be upgrading to WordPress 2.6.1 should do an offline test first before hitting that update button, otherwise, if everything else seems to be fine, just stay with WordPress 2.6.
