It’s Official: Firefox 3 Sets Off A Record Breaking 8Million Downloads

July 3, 2008 · Filed Under Technology

The collective effort of Firefox fans in pledging to spread the word and simultaneously download Firefox 3  last June 2008 made it possible for Firefox 3 to reach a staggering 8Million downloads in a matter of 24hours, according to a report made by the BBC News.

It’s a good feeling to be a part of something that would turn out to be truly phenomenal.  The moment I became aware of the “Spread Firefox Download Day”, I immediately began starting new threads urging forumers to do the same.

I love the new features of Firefox 3, and I have yet to write a review. Unfortunately, one important, useful plugin isn’t supported yet that’s why I have to revert back to Firefox 2.

I’ve used Firefox 3 too, but sometimes I think that FF2 has better page-loading speed.
