I’m Starting To Like Windows Vista!

Windows XP was serving my computing needs fairly well and I have no complaints regarding it’s performance. Even with the availability of Windows Vista, Windows XP remains the standard Operating System being used in our corporate machines (even for newly rolled-out Dell computers). But one unfortunate incident happened to my home computer. It suddenly died on me. I have no choice but to buy a new set of motherboard, processor and memory. Basically, everything in my home PC was replaced.

New Trojan Spreads Via MP3 and Multimedia Files

In a recent report of ITWire, MP3s and multimedia files such as WMV can now be embedded with a trojan. The sneaky part is, those infected MP3s continue to play normally, but would require a certain “codec” to be downloaded in order to play. But instead of getting a codec, the link goes to install malware in your computer.

Gmail Security Upgrade: Find Out If Your Account Is Open Somewhere

Gmail is in the process of upgrading its security by providing an additional dashboard which contains the IP address, last login time and whether the access was on a PC browser, Mobile or POP3 account.

I have just tried this feature but it seems that the Gmail server that we are connecting into isn’t upgraded yet. Nevertheless, this is a very useful plugin for those who constantly forget to log-out their Gmail account.
