How to instantly backup a file into your email account

November 9, 2006 · Filed Under Miscellaneous tips

I have come across this free nifty tool that allows you send files to your email account in just two clicks.

The software is called Backup to Email (get it here). The installer is a 11MB file, that once configured and installed in your PC, you just have to right-click on any file you wish to backup to your email account.

I have noticed that the setup program defaults to Gmail as the email account. I just entered my Gmail credentials and the program entered the correct smtp settings.

Here is a screenshot of the upload process:

Try it, it is really a time saver.
