Gmail for Mobile launched

If you have accessed your Gmail account lately, you’ll be greeted by an announcement from the login page to try out Google’s Gmail for Mobile.

While I would like to try it out for myself, my old Sony Ericsson P800 doesn’t support the application.  Here’s the message I got when I tested it:

Sorry, the Gmail application does not work on your Sony Ericsson P800. However, you can access Gmail on the Go by using the web application.

Anyone with a pleasant experience using Gmail for mobile?
