Google bought Youtube for $1.65 Billion. Good deal or not?

October 11, 2006 · Filed Under Web

This has got to be the most expensive deal that Google has ever gotten into. This move by Google has caused much stir in the Blogosphere, creating mixed reactions whether the move was good or not.

Earlier today, Foxnews has reported that financial analysts applaud google for aquiring Youtube.com and went on by saying that the move by Google will put a pressure on Yahoo to buy Facebook.com.

Over at the Digitalpoint forums, members had mixed reactions. In fact, during the rumor days of this story, some people believe that Google won’t be buying Youtube since it was reported that operating Youtube entails high bandwidth cost while providing very little revenue.

So what is Google really up to in buying Youtube?
